To all the NCSS Members:
Thank you so much for the very unique card you sent to Bill. Someone did such a nice job of putting it all together, even down to the "W" on the old fashioned ball uniforms! It pleased him a lot, and me as well.
I tried to convince Bill to play ball for fun, but winning games was always uppermost with him. Between that attitude, and his increasing dementia, I know he could be really difficult to deal with. I sooooo (!) appreciate the patience and tolerance that all of you gave him!!
A special thank you to Rudy and Terry for their visit, and to Jon and Lily, who also came and brought See's Candy, and delicous home grown tomatoes. It helped Bill's morale, and mine as well.
I'll miss the ball stories and the reams of picnic notes!
