Seniors in North County (San Diego) have a great way to loosen up their bones and meet a great bunch of people - join us in playing Senior Softball!

So who's a "Senior"?  We say kids as young as 55 qualify - and everyone is welcome - men and women.

The North County Senior Softball Recreational League is a recreational league, so all skill levels are welcome.

Don't worry that you haven't played in decades - most of us hadn't either, and safety is our first concern.  After all, we want to continue playing for a long time. We have several players in their 80's, still going strong!

We play in the mornings on fields thru-out the North County area - Carlsbad to San Marcos.  See our "When and Where We Play" page for more details.

BE SURE TO JOIN US FOR PICKUP GAMES AT PINE PARK ON MONDAYS

If interested, check out our "Welcome Application Forms" page and come out any Monday morning at around 9:00 am to Pine Park in Carlsbad and loosen up during a pick-up game, or drop us an email or give us a call - see our "Contact Us" page.

We have a very fun and informative video on You Tube, "NCSS Come Play Ball With Us",
where you can hear more about our league, and meet some of the players:

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 2-2-12

A see-saw battle occurred between Len's and VW Cafe. Both teams made plays in the field and hit the holes early. VW continued to field and hit and Len's bat's went silent. For Vista Way Cafe MIKE SEIDEL cleared the fence for a homerun, while defensively DAVE SEIB and CHARLES O'BRIEN made some fine plays to back the pitching of BUZZ BUZKIRK.

Harbor House was missing 5 players, 4 who were on vacation. BIEN LOPEZ played a nice game and Mike GRIFFITH homered in a losing cause against Wings.

In a close game throughout with several lead changes, TERI hung on to defear Old Goats. JACK BROWN had two home runs and ED ELLIOTT and TONY SANDO had one each. DON AGOSTINO and LOU CHARTZ had triples while ROY BROWN went 4 for 4 and had 3 RBI's. NELSON ELMORE tripled, PETE PENSEYRES homered, and JACK LONDON went six-for-six.

Carlsbad Inn prevailed by a narrow 26 to 22 over Gaspar in a 2 and 1/2 hour marathon. After leading by an early 17 to 4 margin, the Carlsbad Inn victory was finally secured by a three run eighth inning rally triggered by the bottom of the lineup: JOHN SCHEUEMANN, VICKI ASAVIO and MIKE MCCORMICK.

MARLON MOORE and RICH REYNOLDS went 5 for 5 in a losing cause for Got Pain. CHUCK BERRYMAN turned two double plays for LL.
